Charlotte was educated at The Cheltenham Ladies’ College and went on to read Joint Honours French and German at Bristol University. Whilst growing up she lived all over the UK and Europe, experiencing many areas of British and European education as a pupil, and later as a university student.
On leaving formal education, Charlotte went to work for an advisory board to Private Equity Firms in the city. In this role she became involved in the area of international education, first sowing the seeds that would become First Class Tutors. Following her passion, Charlotte has become a professional tutor gaining a wealth of experience from tutoring children aged 4 to 23 years of age. Her students have attended a wide range of schools from St. Paul’s for Girls, Godolphin and Latymer, Eton College, Harrow School, Downe House, Bedales School and Winchester. Her students have achieved academic scholarships at leading British senior schools, as well as places at Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol and Edinburgh Universities.
Charlotte has dedicated many summers to English Language programmes at Oxford University. As a linguist she understands the hurdles of learning a new language, combined with the demands of adapting to a different culture. Having experienced day school, boarding school, expat life, British and international education systems; she is devoted to supporting both national and international families as they face the challenges of education. Charlotte is passionate about the benefits of tailored one-to-one tuition, and believes in a dynamic approach which encourages students to question and analyse.
